King Dude is the dark-folk project of American singer-songwriter TJ Cowgill, established in Seattle. He plays stark folk and country shaped by blues, gothic rock and religious imagery. The project is known for albums including Love, Burning Daylight and Fear, as well as songs such as “Lucifer’s the Light of the World” and “Jesus in the Courtyard.” After performing at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, King Dude supported Ghost on the 2014 Tour Year Zero across North America. The project has also appeared at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig.
