About Kobo Town
Kobo Town is a Canadian band formed in Toronto in 2004 by Trinidad-born singer-songwriter Drew Gonsalves. The group plays modern calypso shaped by reggae and dub, and is known for the albums “Independence,” “Jumbie in the Jukebox” and “Where the Galleon Sank.”
Kobo Town has performed at Glastonbury Festival and WOMAD in England during its international touring. The band has also appeared at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
