Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician, born in Asahikawa in 1958. He is the lead vocalist of the rock band Anzen Chitai and began his solo career in 1987. His best-known songs include Anzen Chitai’s “Wine Red no Kokoro” and “Kanashimi ni Sayonara,” as well as the solo recordings “Den-en” and “Melody.” GOLD TOUR 2014 brought his solo catalogue to concert halls around Japan. Beginning in 2015, the Kōji Tamaki Premium Symphonic Concert series presented his songs with full orchestras, establishing a recurring concert format under the Billboard Classics banner.
