Koray Avcı in Kayseri

Koray Avcı is a Turkish singer and musician, born in Ankara in 1990, whose repertoire draws on arabesk, pop and Black Sea folk music. He became known through filmed street performances before releasing the album Aşk İle, followed by records including Sonra Dersin Ki and Senin İçin Değer. “Sen” and “Hoş Geldin” are among his best-known songs. Before releasing records, Koray Avcı sang in the streets of Ankara and in the city’s metro, where recordings of his performances helped build his audience. After Aşk İle, he moved into ticketed concert halls and open-air venues, including Istanbul’s Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
