Kublai Khan TX is an American metallic hardcore band formed in Sherman, Texas, in 2009. Their music is built around low-tuned riffs, abrupt breakdowns and Matt Honeycutt’s barked vocals. The band’s best-known releases include the albums Nomad and Absolute, as well as the songs “Antpile,” “The Hammer,” “Self-Destruct” and “Theory of Mind.” In 2021, Kublai Khan TX opened for Knocked Loose on a US tour that also featured Gatecreeper and Magnitude. They headlined a North American run in 2024 supported by Sunami, Judiciary and Momentum, then joined Lorna Shore’s tour later that year alongside Whitechapel and Sanguisugabogg.
