Kumar Sanu is an Indian playback singer born in Kolkata in 1957, best known for his work in 1990s Hindi cinema. The soundtrack to Aashiqui established his voice across the film’s romantic songs, while “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha,” “Tujhe Dekha To” and “Nazar Ke Samne” remain among his signature recordings. Kumar Sanu has toured internationally with concert programmes drawn from his Hindi-film catalogue. His sets revisit songs associated with films including Saajan, Baazigar and 1942: A Love Story, and joint concert programmes have paired him with fellow playback singer Alka Yagnik.
