About Kurt Bestor
Kurt Bestor is an American composer, pianist and arranger, born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 1958. He writes instrumental new-age music as well as choral, film and television scores, and is known for the albums Seasons and An Air of Christmas and the choral work “Prayer of the Children.”
In 1988, Kurt Bestor began his annual Christmas concert in Salt Lake City. The production has featured an orchestra, band, choir and guest singers, spending many seasons at Abravanel Hall before moving to the Eccles Theater.
