Kurt Nilsen in Trondheim

Kurt Nilsen is a Norwegian pop-rock and country singer, born in Bergen in 1978. He became known as the winner of the first Norwegian Idol and later World Idol, where he performed “Beautiful Day.” His best-known recordings include a cover of Tal Bachman’s “She’s So High,” “Here She Comes,” and the albums I and A Part of Me. In 2006, Kurt Nilsen joined Espen Lind, Alejandro Fuentes and Askil Holm for the Hallelujah tour, which was documented on the concert album Hallelujah Live. He later made Christmas concerts a recurring part of his stage work, drawing on Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas for performances in Oslo and Trondheim.
