Kurt Vile in St Louis

Kurt Vile is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Philadelphia area, born in 1980. He co-founded The War on Drugs before concentrating on solo work rooted in indie rock, folk and psychedelia. His best-known records include Smoke Ring for My Halo, Wakin on a Pretty Daze and b’lieve i’m goin down…, which features “Pretty Pimpin.” Kurt Vile has spent much of his solo career touring with the Violators. In 2017, he and Courtney Barnett took their collaborative album Lotta Sea Lice on a North American tour backed by the Sea Lice band. In Philadelphia he has headlined Union Transfer with the Violators; in Sydney the group has performed in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House.
