La Bomba de Tiempo in Madrid

La Bomba de Tiempo is an Argentine percussion ensemble formed in Buenos Aires in 2006 by musician and composer Santiago Vázquez. The group is known for creating rhythm-driven music in real time: a conductor uses a system of hand signs to guide the players through improvised pieces rooted in candombe and other Latin American percussion traditions. In 2006, La Bomba de Tiempo began its Monday-night performances at Ciudad Cultural Konex, establishing a long-running residency that became central to its live identity. Guest singers and instrumentalists have joined the ensemble there, while international touring has carried its conducted-improvisation format beyond Argentina.
