La Cabra Mecanica in Madrid

La Cabra Mecánica is a Spanish rock band formed in Madrid in 1993 and led by singer-songwriter Miguel Ángel Hernando, known as Lichis. Its songs draw on pop, rumba, flamenco and punk, often pairing street-level storytelling with sharp humour. The band is best known for the albums Vestidos de domingo and Cabrón, and for songs including “La lista de la compra,” recorded with María Jiménez, “Felicidad” and “No me llames iluso.” The Carne de canción tour became the group’s farewell run after the compilation of the same name appeared in 2009, concluding at La Riviera in 2010. La Cabra Mecánica returned to the stage for a reunion performance at Sonorama Ribera in 2019.
