La Colonie de Vacances in Ramonville St Agne

La Colonie de Vacances is a French collective comprising the bands Papier Tigre, Electric Electric, Pneu and Marvin. The project plays noise rock, math rock and motorik-driven experimental music, and is known for the records The Great Depression and ECHT as well as its quadriphonic concert format. In 2010, the four groups undertook a joint tour and developed a setup in which four stages surround the audience. The musicians perform coordinated pieces across the room, turning their separate positions into a quadriphonic sound system. Every concert brings all four groups together as one ensemble under the name La Colonie de Vacances.
