La Oreja de Van Gogh in Quito

La Oreja de Van Gogh is a Spanish pop-rock band formed in San Sebastián in 1996. The group became known through albums including Dile al sol, El viaje de Copperpot and Lo que te conté mientras te hacías la dormida, and songs such as “La playa,” “Rosas” and “Puedes contar conmigo.” The Guapa Tour followed the band’s 2006 album, and the A las cinco en el Astoria tour introduced Leire Martínez as lead singer. Later concert cycles included the Cometas por el cielo and El planeta imaginario tours, followed by shows supporting Un susurro en la tormenta. Their larger-room dates have included WiZink Center in Madrid and Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.
