Lamb of God is an American metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 1994 under the name Burn the Priest. After adopting their present name, they became known for groove metal built on sharply syncopated riffs and Randy Blythe’s harsh vocals. Albums including Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament and Wrath produced staples such as “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck” and “Walk with Me in Hell.” A 2004 concert at Philadelphia’s Trocadero Theatre was filmed for the live release Killadelphia, and the band also performed on Ozzfest that year. Lamb of God joined Megadeth’s Gigantour in 2006, then played arenas and amphitheatres during Slayer’s farewell tour in 2018 and 2019. They returned to those rooms for The Metal Tour of the Year, co-headlining with Megadeth in 2021 and 2022.
Trivium are an American metal band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1999. Their music draws on metalcore, thrash metal and traditional heavy metal, and they are known for albums including Ascendancy, Shogun and In Waves. “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr,” “A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation” and “In Waves” are among their signature songs. Trivium played Ozzfest and Download Festival in 2005, then supported Iron Maiden on European dates in 2006. In 2022 they toured with Megadeth, Lamb of God and In Flames on the Metal Tour of the Year before mounting the Deadmen and Dragons Tour with Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel and Khemmis.
