About Laura Marling
Laura Marling is an English folk singer-songwriter, born in Hampshire in 1990. She emerged with the 2008 album Alas, I Cannot Swim and songs including “Ghosts,” “Rambling Man” and “Sophia”; later records include Once I Was an Eagle, Semper Femina and Song for Our Daughter.
She toured Once I Was an Eagle, Short Movie and Semper Femina through theatres and festivals in Britain and North America. In 2020, she performed a ticketed livestream from Union Chapel in London, followed in 2021 by a concert at the Royal Albert Hall built around Song for Our Daughter.
Her US tours repeatedly brought her to New York and Los Angeles. British itineraries also returned to Manchester.
