Le Vent du Nord in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Le Vent du Nord is a Canadian folk group formed in Quebec in 2002. Its music draws on French-speaking Québécois traditions, combining original compositions and traditional songs through ensemble vocals, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, accordion, bouzouki and foot percussion. The group’s catalogue includes La part du feu, Têtu, Territoires and the twentieth-anniversary album 20 printemps. Le Vent du Nord has performed at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and the Celtic Colours International Festival in Cape Breton as part of a touring history that extends well beyond Quebec. A later orchestral chapter paired the group with Orchestre symphonique de Québec for concerts at Grand Théâtre de Québec.
