Lee Greenwood in Ocean City

Lee Greenwood is an American country singer-songwriter, born in 1942 in South Gate, California. He is best known for the patriotic song “God Bless the U.S.A.,” while “Dixie Road,” “I.O.U.” and “Somebody’s Gonna Love You” are among his other signature country recordings. Greenwood performed “God Bless the U.S.A.” at the 1984 Republican National Convention in Dallas, giving the song an early national platform. He returned to a major ceremonial stage in 2017, singing it during the presidential inauguration welcome concert at the Lincoln Memorial.
