Leo Sayer in York

Leo Sayer is a British-Australian pop singer-songwriter, born in Shoreham-by-Sea in 1948. He became known through “The Show Must Go On” and the album Silverbird, followed by songs including “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing,” “When I Need You” and “More Than I Can Say.” In 1973, he toured Britain as the support act for Roxy Music, presenting his early songs in the Pierrot costume associated with his debut period. A 1975 concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane was preserved on Live in London, and decades later he appeared on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2015.
