Leon Bridges is an American soul and R&B singer-songwriter, born in Atlanta in 1989 and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. His debut album, Coming Home, introduced songs including “Coming Home” and “River”; later releases include Good Thing and Gold-Diggers Sound, while his work with Khruangbin produced “Texas Sun.” The Coming Home Tour followed his debut, and he also performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2015. The Good Thing Tour later brought his full-band show to theatres and festivals, followed by concerts built around Gold-Diggers Sound on the Gold-Diggers Sound Tour.
Kokoroko is a British eight-piece formed in London in 2014 by trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey and percussionist Onome Edgeworth. The group plays horn-led jazz, Afrobeat and West African highlife, and is known for “Abusey Junction,” its self-titled EP and the albums Could We Be More and Tuff Times Never Last. In 2019, Kokoroko performed at Glastonbury Festival. Following the release of its debut album, the group recorded an NPR Tiny Desk concert in 2022, presenting the material through its full horn and rhythm sections. The group has also performed at We Out Here in Dorset and at the Montreux Jazz Festival beside Lake Geneva.
