Leonid Agutin in Tashkent

Leonid Agutin is a Russian singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist, born in Moscow in 1968. His debut album, Bosonogiy Malchik, appeared in the 1990s, and his best-known songs include “Hop Hey Lala-Ley,” “Na Sirenevoy Lune” and “Aeroport,” recorded with Angelica Varum. He also made the album Cosmopolitan Life with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola. In 2018, Leonid Agutin marked his 50th birthday with an anniversary concert at Moscow’s Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex. His established concert format features Agutin singing and playing guitar alongside the Esperanto band, which gives his pop catalogue its characteristic Latin and jazz arrangements.
