Les Wampas are a French punk-rock band formed in Paris in 1983 and led by singer Didier Wampas. Their music draws on psychobilly and power pop, and they are known for songs including “Manu Chao,” “Rimini” and “Petite fille,” as well as the album Never Trust a Guy Who After Having Been a Punk, Is Now Playing Electro. The concert release Never Trust a Live! documented Les Wampas onstage. They have played clubs and theatres around France and performed at festivals including Les Vieilles Charrues and Les Eurockéennes de Belfort. The group performs as a full electric band. Didier Wampas is known to leave the stage, sing among the audience and crowd-surf during the set.
