Lioba Albus in Tönisvorst

Lioba Albus is a German cabaret performer, actress and author, born in Attendorn in 1958 and based in Dortmund since 1981. Her satire draws on everyday situations and social behaviour, often through the fictional Sauerland housewife Mia Mittelkötter. Her solo programmes include Mit heißem Herzen, Königin von Egoland and Mia – eine Weltmacht mit 3 Buchstaben. In 1983, she joined the permanent ensemble of the city’s children’s and youth theatre, then concentrated on cabaret from 1991. She has presented her solo programmes on stage and appeared in the radio and television shows Mitternachtsspitzen and Ladies Night. Her stage work has also included performances with Martin Herrmann, Norbert Alich and Bruno Knust.
