Liz Phair is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in 1967 and raised in the Chicago area. Her early Girly-Sound recordings led into the 1993 debut album Exile in Guyville, which established her candid, lo-fi approach to indie rock. Her catalog also includes Whip-Smart, “Supernova,” “Fuck and Run” and the pop-rock single “Why Can’t I?” In 2018, Liz Phair mounted the Girly-Sound to Guyville: The 25th Anniversary Tour, drawing its set from her early cassette recordings and debut album. Five years later, she performed that album in full on the Exile in Guyville 30th Anniversary Tour.

Sleater-Kinney is an American rock band formed in Olympia, Washington, in 1994 by Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein. Closely associated with the Pacific Northwest riot grrrl scene, the band is known for alternating vocals, interlocking guitars and albums including Dig Me Out, The Woods and No Cities to Love. Janet Weiss joined on drums before Dig Me Out and completed the group’s best-known trio lineup. The band gave its final concert before a long hiatus at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom in August 2006. It returned to the stage in 2015 for the No Cities to Love tour, followed by The Center Won’t Hold tour in 2019 after Janet Weiss left the lineup. The Little Rope tour put Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein back on the road in 2024. The concerts are full-band rock sets led by Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein. Both sing and play guitar, alternating lead vocals across the set. Outside the Pacific Northwest, Sleater-Kinney have played Terminal 5 in New York and performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
