Artist
The Locust are an American band formed in San Diego in 1994. Their music combines grindcore, hardcore punk, noise and electronics in extremely short, tightly arranged songs. The albums Plague Soundscapes and New Erections established their best-known recorded work, while matching insect-like uniforms became a recognizable part of their stage identity. The Locust played Coachella in 2004 while touring behind Plague Soundscapes. After a long period of inactivity, the band returned to the stage in 2019 and performed at Desert Daze.
