Mick Harvey is an Australian musician, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist known as a founding member of The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. His solo work includes Intoxicated Man and Pink Elephants, two albums of English-language interpretations of songs by Serge Gainsbourg. The Birthday Party gave its final performance at Melbourne’s Crystal Ballroom in 1983, closing Mick Harvey’s years of touring with the group. He then spent more than two decades on the road with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, including the 1994 Lollapalooza tour and concerts supporting Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! His subsequent solo shows have featured his own catalogue and the songs of Serge Gainsbourg.
