Lordi in Týnec nad Sázavou

Lordi are a Finnish hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Rovaniemi in 1992. Known for performing as monster characters, they won the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with “Hard Rock Hallelujah,” giving Finland its first victory in the competition. Their best-known records include the albums Get Heavy and The Arockalypse, as well as the song “Would You Love a Monsterman?” The band performed “Hard Rock Hallelujah” at Eurovision in Athens, then joined the US Ozzfest lineup in 2007. In 2023, Lordi opened for Sabaton on the European arena run of The Tour to End All Tours, which also featured Babymetal. Each musician performs as a named monster character in costume and prosthetic makeup. The concert is played by a full band led by vocalist Mr Lordi.
