Los Delinqüentes in Fuenlabrada

Los Delinqüentes are a Spanish band formed in Jerez de la Frontera in 1998 by Miguel Benítez and Marcos del Ojo, later joined by guitarist Diego Pozo. Their songs draw on flamenco, rumba, rock and pop, a style they called “garrapatero.” The debut album El sentimiento garrapatero que nos traen las flores introduced enduring songs including “El aire de la calle” and “La primavera trompetera.” After Miguel Benítez died in 2004, Los Delinqüentes continued recording and touring with a full band. Recuerdos garrapateros de la Flama y el Carril documented that period and included a concert filmed at La Riviera in Madrid. The group paused in 2012 as El Canijo de Jerez and Diego Pozo pursued separate projects.
