About Los Manseros Santiagueños
Los Manseros Santiagueños are an Argentine folk ensemble formed in Santiago del Estero in 1959. Their repertoire is rooted in chacareras, zambas and other traditions of northwestern Argentina, and they are known for songs including “Añoranzas,” “Eterno amor” and “Canto a Monte Quemado.” Founder Onofre Paz has remained the central figure through the group’s changing lineups.
The ensemble has performed repeatedly at the Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosquín, presenting its vocal harmonies, guitars and bombo legüero on Argentina’s principal folklore stages. Its live history also includes anniversary concerts in Buenos Aires and a recorded performance at Luna Park.
