Los Palmeras are an Argentine group formed in Santa Fe in 1972. They play cumbia santafesina, an accordion-led regional style, and are known for songs including “El bombón asesino,” “Olvídala,” “El embrujo” and “Soy sabalero.” In 2019, Los Palmeras performed “Soy sabalero” at Estadio General Pablo Rojas in Asunción before the Copa Sudamericana final contested by Club Atlético Colón. Their full-band concerts center on percussion, Marcos Camino’s accordion and the lead vocals long associated with Rubén Deicas.
