Los Tres in Santiago

Los Tres are a Chilean rock band formed in Concepción in 1987. Their music draws on rockabilly, blues, jazz and Chilean cueca. Albums including La espada & la pared and Fome established their catalogue, which also includes songs such as “Déjate caer,” “He barrido el sol” and “La torre de Babel.” In 1995, Los Tres recorded an MTV Unplugged concert in Miami, incorporating cueca and traditional Chilean songs into the performance. Five years later, their farewell concert at Teatro Providencia in Santiago was documented on the live album Freno de mano. The band reunited in 2006 and resumed performing in Chile and abroad. Their festival history includes multiple appearances at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar and performances at Vive Latino in Mexico City.
