Louden Swain is an American indie-rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1997 and fronted by actor and singer Rob Benedict. The group is known for guitar-driven records including No Time Like the Present and songs such as “Medicated,” as well as its close association with the television series Supernatural and its fan conventions. At Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural conventions, Louden Swain has served as the house band for the Saturday Night Special concerts. The group performs its own material and accompanies cast members, including Jensen Ackles, during these full-band shows. The convention circuit has taken Louden Swain beyond its home city for performances in Las Vegas and in Rome at Jus In Bello.
