Louis Cole in Seattle

Louis Cole is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer from Los Angeles who plays tightly arranged funk, jazz, electronic music and off-centre pop. He is known as half of KNOWER with Genevieve Artadi, and for solo albums including Time and Quality Over Opinion, as well as songs such as “F It Up,” “Bank Account” and “Weird Part of the Night.” Louis Cole’s Live 2019 concert film documented him leading a large ensemble through scored horn parts while moving between drums, keyboards and vocals. He then presented a compact version of that format for NPR’s Tiny Desk and later took the large band to North Sea Jazz Festival.
