Louis-Jean Cormier in Saint Thomas de Montmagny

Louis-Jean Cormier is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist from Sept-Îles, Quebec. He is the lead singer of the rock band Karkwa and has built a parallel solo catalogue rooted in French-language folk, pop and rock, including the albums Le treizième étage, Les grandes artères and Quand la nuit tombe. The tour supporting Le treizième étage brought his solo repertoire to theatres across Quebec after years of touring with Karkwa. He followed it with concerts built around Les grandes artères and later Quand la nuit tombe, while his festival appearances have included Francos de Montréal and Festival d’été de Québec.
