Love of Lesbian & León Benavente in Zaragoza

Love of Lesbian is a Spanish indie-pop and rock band formed in Barcelona in 1997. After initially recording in English, the group switched to Spanish and became known for albums including Maniobras de escapismo, 1999 and El poeta Halley, as well as songs such as “Club de fans de John Boy” and “Allí donde solíamos gritar”. El gran truco final brought the El poeta Halley tour to WiZink Center in 2017. In 2021, the band played a concert organized around same-day COVID-19 screening and compulsory masks, a closely watched test of large indoor live music at Palau Sant Jordi.

León Benavente is a Spanish indie-rock band formed in 2012 by Abraham Boba, Eduardo Baos, Luis Rodríguez and César Verdú, musicians who had worked together in Nacho Vegas’s touring band. The group’s self-titled debut introduced songs including “Ánimo, valiente” and “Ser brigada”; later albums include 2, Vamos a volvernos locos and ERA. León Benavente toured Spain after the debut, taking its guitar-and-synth arrangements into clubs, theatres and festival sets. The album cycles for 2 and Vamos a volvernos locos brought further headline concerts and appearances at events including Bilbao BBK Live and Sonorama Ribera.
