Luar Na Lubre in Utrecht

Luar Na Lubre are a Spanish folk band formed in A Coruña in 1986. They play music rooted in Galician tradition, using instruments such as the gaita alongside flute, fiddle, guitar and percussion. Their best-known works include “O son do ar,” which Mike Oldfield adapted as “The Song of the Sun” for Voyager, and the albums Plenilunio and Cabo do Mundo. In 2009, the concert release Ao Vivo! documented Luar Na Lubre at Teatro Colón in A Coruña. Their stage performances feature a full ensemble of singers and instrumentalists, and they have also performed at Festival Interceltique de Lorient.
