Artist
LUCKY TAPES is a Japanese band formed in Tokyo in 2014 and led by vocalist and keyboardist Kai Takahashi. The group plays polished pop shaped by funk, soul and jazz, establishing that sound on the albums The SHOW and Cigarette & Alcohol and songs including “MOOD” and “Touch!” The band performed at Fuji Rock Festival in 2015 after the release of The SHOW. Its later festival appearances have included Summer Sonic, where the group presented its horn-colored arrangements in a full-band format.
