Lyle Lovett in Toronto

Lyle Lovett is an American singer-songwriter and bandleader from Klein, Texas, whose music draws on country, folk, blues, jazz and western swing. His self-titled 1986 debut introduced “Cowboy Man,” while the album Pontiac included “If I Had a Boat” and “She’s No Lady.” Lyle Lovett and His Large Band has anchored his concerts since the late 1980s, presenting his songs in arrangements shaped by swing, gospel and jazz. He has also toured theatres as Lyle Lovett and His Acoustic Group and undertaken joint acoustic tours with John Hiatt, alternating songs and conversation with John Hiatt.
