About Mac Powell

Mac Powell is an American singer-songwriter who co-founded the Christian rock band Third Day in Marietta, Georgia. As its lead vocalist, he became known for songs including “Cry Out to Jesus,” “I Need a Miracle” and “Soul on Fire.” He later recorded country and roots rock with Mac Powell and the Family Reunion, then released the contemporary Christian solo album New Creation.

Third Day toured behind albums including Come Together and Revelation before ending its concert run with the Farewell Tour in 2018. Mac Powell later joined Newsboys and Danny Gokey on the Stand Together Tour in 2022.
