Macaco in Málaga

Macaco is a Spanish music project formed in Barcelona in 1997 and led by singer-songwriter Dani Carbonell. He plays reggae-rooted Latin alternative shaped by rumba, flamenco and hip-hop; songs including “Moving,” “Con la mano levantá” and “Coincidir,” along with the albums Puerto Presente and El murmullo del fuego, are central to his catalogue. Macaco has taken a full-band show through Spain and Latin America, appearing in theatres and at outdoor festivals. In 2015 he performed at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in Chile, presenting his band-led repertoire on the festival’s televised stage.
