Magma in St Brieuc

Magma is a French progressive-rock band formed in 1969 by drummer and composer Christian Vander. The group created the zeuhl style, built around forceful rhythms, choral vocals and jazz-rooted playing, and performs much of its repertoire in the invented Kobaïan language. Its central albums include Mëkanïk Dëstruktïẁ Kömmandöh and Köhntarkösz. In 1980, Magma recorded concerts at the Olympia in Paris for the live releases Retrospektïẁ I-II and Retrospektïẁ III. Two decades later, the band performed the complete Theusz Hamtaahk trilogy at the Le Trianon theatre, and in 2015 it brought its large vocal and instrumental ensemble to Glastonbury Festival.
