Magnus Carlson is a Swedish singer-songwriter, born in Stockholm in 1968, who leads the pop and rock band Weeping Willows. He is known for the band’s songs “Broken Promise Land” and “Touch Me,” as well as solo recordings rooted in northern soul, including the album The Northern Soul Sessions. During the 1990s, Magnus Carlson began performing around Sweden as the frontman of Weeping Willows and went on to tour with the band in clubs, theatres and at festivals. The group performed “Touch Me” at Melodifestivalen in 2003, and its later Christmas concerts drew on the album Christmas Time Has Come, including shows at Cirkus in Stockholm.
