Malaa in Costa Mesa

Malaa is a French electronic music producer and DJ known for bass house and G-house, an anonymous identity and a black balaclava. Tracks including “Notorious” and “Fade,” the Illegal Mixtape series and the album Don Malaa established the project’s dark, bass-heavy sound. Malaa and Tchami toured together under the No Redemption name in 2017 and 2018, playing back-to-back DJ sets across North America. They then performed the show together at Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2018. The live show is a solo DJ set presented in the mask associated with the project; the person behind the alias has remained officially anonymous. He played Coachella in Indio in 2022. Malaa has also performed at Tomorrowland in Belgium.
