Manfred Mann's Earth Band in Magdeburg

Manfred Mann's Earth Band are a British rock band formed in London in 1971 by keyboardist Manfred Mann. Their progressive and art-rock catalogue includes the albums Solar Fire, The Roaring Silence and Watch, while their best-known recordings include “Blinded by the Light,” “Davy’s on the Road Again” and “Mighty Quinn.” The group’s 1983 concert in Budapest was documented on Budapest Live. Later performances appeared on the 1998 concert album Mann Alive, extending a live record built through decades of European touring. The concert format is a full rock band, and the set draws on Earth Band originals and the group’s rearrangements of songs by writers including Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Keyboards remain at the centre of the lineup under Manfred Mann.
