About Manic Street Preachers
Manic Street Preachers are a Welsh alternative rock band formed in Blackwood in 1986. James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire and Sean Moore first recorded with guitarist and lyricist Richey Edwards; their best-known work includes the albums The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go, plus songs such as “Motorcycle Emptiness,” “A Design for Life” and “If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next.”
The band played a New Year’s Eve concert at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in 1999. In 2014 they performed The Holy Bible in full on an anniversary tour, then marked two decades of Everything Must Go with a 2016 concert at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium.
They have repeatedly played London and returned to Glasgow and Manchester on later British tours.
