Mànran in Lindau

Mànran are a Scottish folk band formed in 2010, known for Gaelic and English-language songs set to bagpipes, fiddle, accordion, flute, guitar, bass and drums. The group attracted attention with the Gaelic single “Latha Math” and developed its sound across the albums Mànran, The Test and An Dà Là. Mànran performed at Runrig’s 40th-anniversary concert Party on the Moor in Muir of Ord in 2013, then joined the band’s farewell event The Last Dance in Stirling in 2018. Their own headline history includes Mànran at the Barrowland, staged at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow. Their concerts use a full-band format, placing Highland pipes and uilleann pipes alongside fiddle, accordion and a rock rhythm section. Gaelic lead vocals and instrumental sets both form established parts of the programme. The band has returned to Celtic Connections and HebCelt across multiple editions, making both festivals recurring settings for Mànran performances.
