Artist
Mansur Brown is a British guitarist, composer and producer from Brixton in south London. His music draws on contemporary jazz, soul, R&B and electronic production, often placing fluid electric-guitar lines at the centre. He first reached a wider jazz audience through his playing on Yussef Kamaal’s album Black Focus, while his solo catalogue includes Shiroi, Heiwa and NAQI. Boiler Room filmed Brown leading a guitar-centred set at the V&A in London, presenting his compositions through a live ensemble and extended instrumental passages. He has since taken that repertoire to international stages, including the Montreux Jazz Festival.
