Marc Ford is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer born in Los Angeles in 1966. He first recorded with the rock trio Burning Tree and is best known for his two tenures as lead guitarist in The Black Crowes. His playing appears on albums including The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, Amorica and Three Snakes and One Charm, as well as songs such as “Remedy” and “Sometimes Salvation.”

In 1991, Ford joined The Black Crowes on the road and toured with the group until his departure in 1997. He returned for the band’s 2005 reunion concerts at Hammerstein Ballroom and remained in the lineup into 2006. He later joined Rich Robinson in The Magpie Salute, which opened its live run at New York’s Gramercy Theatre in 2017.
