María José Llergo in Copenhagen

María José Llergo is a Spanish singer and songwriter from Pozoblanco, Córdoba, who writes contemporary flamenco shaped by pop and electronic production. She introduced her recording work with songs including “Niña de las dunas” and “Nana del Mediterráneo,” then released the albums Sanación and Ultrabelleza. In 2024, María José Llergo performed material from Ultrabelleza at Sónar in Barcelona and recorded an NPR Tiny Desk Concert in Washington, D.C. The Tiny Desk set placed her voice at the centre of a compact live band and included “Rueda, Rueda” and “Superpoder.”
