Maria Muldaur is an American singer, born in New York City in 1942, whose work draws on folk, blues, country, jazz and R&B. She first recorded with the Even Dozen Jug Band and Jim Kweskin Jug Band before launching a solo career. Her best-known recording is “Midnight at the Oasis” from the album Maria Muldaur; Waitress in a Donut Shop followed with songs rooted in blues, jazz and country.
