Marija Šerifović is a Serbian pop singer, born in Kragujevac in 1984, whose powerful vocal style became widely known through “Molitva.” She performed the song for Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and won the competition; her repertoire also includes “Pametna i luda” and “11.”

The 2007 Eurovision final in Helsinki gave Marija Šerifović her best-known international performance. She later mounted a major solo concert at Belgrade Arena in 2014, then developed the Druga strana ploče concert series, built around her interpretations of songs by other writers as well as her own material, at Sava Centar.
